Then Three years later in1823, an angel called Moroni, the son of Mormon, who is the leader of the people called the Nephites who had lived in the Americas, appeared to him. This angel then told him that he was chosen to translate the book of Mormon which was created by Moroni’s father during the 4th century. By 1830 Book of Mormon fully published.

People often think that Mormonism is similar to Christianity but it is not, click here to read more about how they differ. Mormons believe that Christ died for our sins, but that in order to get to heaven we still must do good works, and it is through these efforts we get to heaven. Then heaven is seen as having multiple levels that are based on the works we did while on earth, and when they get to heaven they believe that they become gods. Before they were on earth they believe that they were spirits and God placed them on earth to become their best selves to work for heaven. Mormons read the Book of Mormon as well as the Bible, but they hold the Book of Mormon to a higher standard then the Bible.
